Truth is most often used to mean being in accord with fact or reality, or fidelity to an original or to a standard or ideal. ‘Lone Pair’ presents their first album, ‘Shotti Kotha Bolbo’, a song about speaking the truth. This song is about speaking up those truths which, in most cases, cannot or are not told to the person who should be concerned.
The song beautifully brings out dominance as a strong nature of human beings. It speaks of our pent up frustration and disappointment. We as human beings feel innumerous emotions coursing through us. We hide away from them, let them bind to us, pull us down and sometimes express them in the best way possible.
The song speaks of peace, of acceptance, of denial, of frustration, of depression and most importantly, of life. some things become so important in our lives, we forget what we actually crave for, that is peace. Love, fame and money are transient in our lives, just like the waves of the sea washing away our feet. The song concludes on a note saying that there are many ways to attain peace, but we somehow are too busy in things which prevent us from attaining peace.
The heartfelt words have been beautifully sung by an equally melodious voice. Amongst several songs, this debut is a really refreshing piece for all of our ears. Be it the wordings, the underlying meaning of the song, the vocals the tuneful music, this song ‘Shotti Kotha Bolbo’ by ‘Lone Pair’ has left us all really impressed and already wanting for more.
