Kolkata, January 23rd, 2022: Commemorating the 125th birthday of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose, the Krishi Bikash Shilpa Kendra, a wing of MSME, Government of India along with its sister concern, Metive Pvt. Ltd organised a program on the 23rd of January ’22 to inaugurate the Ex-army Re-employment and Paramilitary Training Centres across India under the government of India’s Atmanirbhar Bharat program. The main focus of this program is to create skilled professionals in the defence forces. The venue of the inauguration ceremony is 1/6 B.P. Township, MIG – II, Block – N, Plot-24, Kolkata-700094.
The program was graced by Priyabrata Pramanik, the National Chief Economic Advisor of KBSK and member policy group, Ministry of Commerce and Industry, on manufacturing, services, reforms, etc. Mrs. Sayambita Bose, Vice Chairman of KBSK, Dr. Anirban Dhar from Bengal Headquarter, Indian Army (on behalf of GOC) were also present during the inauguration. Sudipta Guha from World Bank and IDBI, Rudra Prasanna Banerjee, Graduate Research/Teaching Assistant at University of Alberta, Prasenjit Maity, ex-army Founder Chairman and Director of KBSK, Ajay Kumar Shit, ex-army and CEO of Metive Pvt. Ltd. also joined in the celebrations and the grand inauguration of the training centres that are to operate all over India. Each member took turns to elaborate the main points of this scheme.
Under the initiative of this program, several training centres have been established by the government of India across all the Indian states. Young aspirants who have enrolled for defence services will undergo training in these centres under the able guidance of experienced, retired army officials.
Under the government of India guidelines, para military skills, a crucial part of defence training, can only be imparted by experienced defence officials. Along with the re-employment of ex-army officials, the initiative seeks to create capable and skilled personnel in the defence forces with the aid and assistance of experienced veterans who have served the defence forces of India.
Dr. Prosenjit Bose, Chairman cum Managing Director at Krishi Bikash Shilpa Kendra says, “This training will be imparted to the young defence recruits across India in all the centres. In addition, sound paramilitary training is preferred for the security personnel employed by even private security agencies. Here is where we come in with first-hand experience, expertise and counsel.”
The Krishi Bikash Shilpa Kendra is the agency responsible for implementation of the 20-point program under the Ministry of MSME, Government of India.
