Seven things to remember while launching a new business

Define your brand – People are likely to engage less with your brand if you do not provide complete information from the start.
For example: You are opening a Biryani shop. You should highlight the key points why people should come to your restaurant when there are hundreds of established food chain businesses.

SEO and SEM – You don’t require a degree from a reputed university for this. All you need is RAW experience. If you are launching a business online, make sure you have a website. You can start with a free blog service like wordpress.com, wix.com or even blogger.com!

PPC – Organic content is important. However, if you are looking for genuine leads who are likely to make purchases on your site, page, group, promoting a content is necessary. I remember promoting a post for INR 400 on Facebook and I got a client who asked me to develop a website for a four digit amount. But don’t just starting promoting a random content. There are multiple parameters which you need to look into before making the move.

Content Marketing – The most important of them all. This can bring you a million impression if you know how to create a quality content, be it an image, video or even a poll.

Social Media Marketing – The second most important point. Don’t just rely on a single social media platform. Pinterest, Tumblr, Share Chat can help you reach more audience than you can ever imagine. If you are too busy in scheduling posts in different social media channels, you can use free tools like Buffer to schedule all your posts in multiple platforms at the same time. YouTube is also playing a major role in generating leads for businesses. The best way to run YouTube ads is to define your service area like a country or a specific region, the age group of the customers you are looking for, that way you can reach more audience and will be beneficial for your brand as well.

Influencer Marketing – If you are looking to promote your business, earn using your social media influence, there is no other alternatives. A blogger earns around INR 6000 on an average for a single blog. Well, you would need a dedicated website for this. But yes, you can start using a free blog service to increase your demand. Businesses look for engagement and not huge followers.

SWOT Analysis – Determine your strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats before starting / while running a business. Your team members can leave your company any day, what will happen then?
