Three new Rowling novels which you might not know!

Us hardcore Potterheads have all our Rowling novels carefully stacked in our bookshelves, starting from Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone to The Tales of Beedle the Bard. However, many of us are blissfully unaware of three of  J.K. Rowling’s  recently published novels!200px-CuckoosCallingCover

Yes, you heard me right!
Three. New. Rowling. Novels.
Why did nobody tell you about this, you ask? This sad affair of state is probably so because Joanne published these novels under the pseudonym ‘Robert Galbraith’.

Sadly for us, these novels are not sequels or prequels of the Harry Potter series, and are in no way connected to it. Nevertheless, it’s J.K. Rowling, people! Granted The Casual Vacancy didn’t appeal to most of us, but I think I speak for all Potterheads when I say that the whiff of a new Rowling novel gives me the collywobbles!
The Cormoran Strike series, whose first novel hit the stores in 2013, consists of crime fictions.  Rowling definitely tried a completely different genre in these novels after going somewhat political in her The Casual Vacancy! Three novels- The Cuckoo’s Calling (2013), The Silkworm (2014), and Career of Evil (2015)- of the series have already been published and Rowling confirmed on her website that she “fully intends to keep writing the series” and continue using her pseudonym.

Strike is a private investigator and has a sensational family background (he is an illegitimate son of a rock-star, interesting much?). His cases form the plots of the novels, and the works have received critical acclaim. The New York Times, The Huffington Post, and even our own The Hindustan Times, along with numerous other dailies, have reviewed the novels positively.
The cherry on the cake was the announcement made on 10th December, 2014, where it was said that the novels would be adapted as a television series for own very own BBC One and Rowling herself would collaborate on the same. Could it BE more exciting?

So grab these three paperbacks if you haven’t already; I assure you, Galbraith will be an entirely different experience, and an amazing one at that!
