Chitchat with the talented Indian beauty, Srishti Das

Tell us about your journey from the beginning till date.

~ One fine morning, I woke up and saw a post on Instagram about the pageant of Miss Capital of India 2018 and I always wanted to do something like this so, I thought I should give it a try.

At that moment I was not thinking about winning but I was looking forward to learn something new . Meanwhile, I became a part of this industry. So , I went to the audition and got selected. I went for training. It was altogether a different zone for me, a different life I would say.

It was really a wonderful thing I enjoyed and learned a lot and surprisingly, I won the pageant. (laughs)

After that I started my modeling career, I started shooting for designers, brands and magazines.I wanted to take this career forward, hence I applied for Miss India Continental 2018 and yet again, I won it.

If not modeling, then what other career options you had in your mind?

~ I was a trainee Air hostess. Before that, I was a graphic designer. So, if not modeling, I would have been an air hostess, I guess. ( laughs)

How is your experience working with Runway director, Allie Sharma ?

~ It was a really nice experience working with her . Allie is a mentor to me. She has always supported me . Working with her was like working with someone I’m very comfortable with. She is really a great designer, supporter and a great mentor.

Which is the most memorable achievement in your life ?

~ I guess the very first start and wining Miss Capital of India 2018 was memorable. It was a life changing thing for me.

A hearty congratulations for that. So, how would you like to differentiate between achievement and success ?

~ Failure is also achievement for me. Failure teaches us, motivates us in a whole different way. It gives us a push. So, for me failure is also achievement because it teaches you something and you learn from it and you grow out of it.

But success is altogether different. Success is the fruitfulness of your failure.

Who is your inspiration ?

~ My inspiration has always been my family. My mom, my dad and my sis have inspired me in their own ways. They all individually have a spectacular personality. I still have so much to learn from them and I’m blessed to have them.

Do you ever get scared for the ups and downs in this industry?

~ No! Never. I feel that the way ups are important for us in the same way downs are also very important for us because it teaches you how to get the best out of you. It never scares me.

What’s up next ? What are your future plans ?

~ I am planing for FBB Miss India 2019. I have already registered myself there. So, I’m waiting for the audition date to come up.
