Infinite Ray to pay homage to Satyajit Ray

Gokhale Memorial Girls’ College Department of English, CMEV and Internal Quality Assurance Cell is organising a three day event, Infinite Ray to pay homage to Satyajit Ray on his birth centenary year.
On 1st, 2nd and 3rd July, 2021

The events will include –

1) An academic webinar on Ray’s Cinematic Modernity, “Satyajit o Chalachitra Adhunikata”

2) An Inter-college Essay Competition, “My Tryst With Satyajit” / “Amar Satyajit”

3) An Inter-college quiz competition, “Magajastra”.

4) The most significant experience will be Jalsaghar, a digital interface of the stalwarts who have worked with Ray in his films in multifarious capacities, who will engage in a panel discussion. This eminent panel shall comprise of luminaries like Sharmila Tagore, Dhritiman Chatterjee, Aparna Sen, Barun Chanda, Siddhartha Chatterjee and Dr Madhuja Mukherjee. It will be moderated by Ashoke Viswanathan.
