The suave and charming Ishaan Mazumder is a boiling cauldron of talent. He is an actor and nurtures a keen passion in music as well. Inspired by his uncle he developed an interest in acting and will be seen in big screen very soon.

Ishaan was working in an IT company but he soon realized that he belonged to the showbiz and quit his job eventually. He has recently acted in ‘Postmaster’ and ‘Protyaborton’ that will be releasing soon. ‘Protyaborton’, directed by Nimu Bhowmick, also stars the likes of Mousumi Bhattacharya and Srila Majumder. He does not accept roles which would not suit him, the reason behind accepting the role in ‘Postmaster’, also starring Pujarini Ghosh of Chitra fame, for which they had to sometime shoot even in freezing temperatures. He idolizes Shah Rukh Khan and from Tollywood it is Jeet who he looks up to. He just wants to “produce good movies for people” and entertain them.

Music is another integral part of his life and he has already proved his proficiency in this field. He has done a few playbacks and voiceovers for the South film industry and was associated with the eminent artistes like Balasubramanium, Hariharan, Kumar Sanu and others. He took part in Channel V’s show Super Singer and represented Karnataka in SaReGaMaPA. He is presently working on a musical endeavour, Rubi Roy , which is inspired by the original song made by R.D. Burman and later sung by Rupankar Bagchi albeit in a different format.

His favourite actors in Tollywood are Jeet and Soham and says that he need to develop his fan base by working harder and for his present fans his message remains the same, work hard to succeed.
