Benefits of Nuts

Nuts are  popular healthy and tasty snacks. They are a source of energy and nutrients. Many studies shows that nuts provide various health benefits. Especially with regards to reducing heart disease risk factor. They are also, a good source of fiber, protein, antioxidant, vitamins and various mineral. Below are some benefits of few deferent nuts.

Almonds

Almonds are the world’s most popular nuts. They are an excellent source of calcium and phosphorus which helps maintain and build the strength of bones and teeth. They are loaded with antioxidant, which helps to protect against oxidative stress which damage molecules in human body cells. They are good sources of vitamin E and vitamins B-complex which work as co-factor for enzyme during cellular substrate metabolism in human body. Vitamin E is very good for the heart. Almonds, undoubtedly improve the cholesterol level.

Pistachios

Pistachios are delicious and healthy nuts. They are a good source of oleic acid and antioxidant which increase good cholesterol level. Pistachios  are loaded with copper and iron which helps to improve blood pressure and increase RBC production. Also, pistachio are a  good source of vitamins which is good for heart and skin.

Peanuts

Peanuts are not tree nuts, they belong to the legume family. Peanuts help to improve satiety and maintain weight loss. They are a good source of dietary protein, amino acid which essential for growth and development. They are an excellent source of resveratrol which have protective function against cancer, heart disease, Alzheimer’s disease and viral infections. Peanuts are also good source of vitamin E which helps maintain the integrity of mucosa and skin by protecting from harmful radicals.

Brazil Nuts

Brazil Nuts are a rich source of selenium which is good for kidney. Brazil nuts helps to improve selenium level in blood. They are loaded with antioxidant which reduce oxidative stress and improve the function of blood vessels. They are also a good source of protein, vitamin-E and B-complex and minerals which is good for bones, heart and skin.

Cashews

Cashews are very tasty tree nuts. They are packed with minerals like magnesium, copper, calcium etc. Magnesium helps to improve blood pressure. Calcium build the strength of bones and teeth. High content copper helps to fight against cancerous cells and keeps away from colon cancer. It’s a major benefits of Cashews. Also, Cashews are a good source of vitamins, which have protective function against anemia, pellagra etc.

Walnuts

Walnuts are good sources of rare and powerful antioxidant which helps to prevent chemically induced liver damage. They are packed with vitamin E, omega-3, melatonin which support brain health. One of the lesser-known benefits is walnuts is to  improve the reproductive health of women. They are also good for diabetes and have heart disease and cancer fighting properties.
